About Dr. Skiffer
I am born and raised in the Bay Area. I began my career as a para-professional working with families of children on the Autistic Spectrum. I obtained my doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from the PGSP-Stanford Psy.D. Consortium in 2013.
I completed my pre-doctoral internship at The Help Group in Los Angeles (APA Accredited), a non-profit clinic serving children, adolescents, and young adults. I completed my postdoctoral training at Kaiser Permanente as part of the Adult and Child teams (APA Accredited). For the last 6 years, I worked in the Department of Psychiatry at Kaiser Permanente. I have recently expanded my private practice to be full time and am accepting clients in both my Marin and San Francisco offices.
I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of different settings and contexts, including individual, family, couples and group therapy. I am trained to provide evidence based treatment in a flexible manner. I aim to provide a supportive environment that fosters reflection and growth. I emphasize not only the building of skills to address your mental health symptoms but also skill development in the areas of communication and conflict management.
